Good advice as always from Ian. One big advantage of Rotax is that it is the most popular class in UK karting and, as such, is the only class, other than cadet, that is raced at just about every track in the country. If you do choose Max, you will always get a grid of karts, but, as Ian says, get to know people at your local circuit who will help you with what to buy, because, unless you are buying brand new, there is a lot of junk out there.
