Nothing invested and don't know either driver, so
Kart which made the first pass to take the lead appeared to make a clean move and clearly followed the racing line and traditional route round that corner. Second kart tried a dive up the inside but was too far back for that to stick, hit the kart in front causing it to spin.
Racing incident. Yes
Avoidable accident. Yes
Seen at every racetrack in the country. Yes
Would more exclusions like the stewards tried to impose help. Why, yes!
Second driver totally responsible for this incident. The shrug of the shoulders and saying racing incident mate is the problem that is rife across karting, and one that goes unpunished or unseen a lot of the time. Maybe its just me, but I kart for fun and have never hit anyone in order to pass. Parts are just too damn expensive!
