What we did was get one of these (not this exact one, we just had one of the right size in the garage)

Take half of it and mount one end solidly (in your place of choice), you should now be able to take the camera in and out. Tighten up the other bolt and your camera is securely in.

I would advise putting the silicon case on the camera, it makes it much griper in the holder.
