Hi guys was just wondering if ultrasonic cleaning is all that its cracked up to be. I see adverts on sites that offer carb servicing and they state "Ultasonically Cleaned". I keep our spare carbs in freezer bags, sealed in a good old sandwich box to limit getting any dirt/crud inside them at the track.
Yesterday I was tinkering around and decided to give them all a general inspection, pop off test, clean etc... and where needed changed gaskets. My method of cleaning is to totally strip the carb (tkm walbro) and to use brake cleaner, I do this in a large shallow white container so as to keep all the parts in. What surprises everytime is the amount of grime left in the bottom of the white tray.

So would Ultrasonic cleaning be better option for cleaning, is it all that its cracked up to be and
is there any power gain etc... with the finish product?

I have seen this product and thought that its not a bad investment if they are any good.
