Your missing something here and it's affecting your views. Sadly, it's the same error being made by LOADS of other people on this subject. You 'show' it within this sentence:-

" If the rear speed is the same as the GPS speed while cornering then it should mean your inside rear while is completely in the air, the more difference of speed there is, the more drift there is therefore the less the inside wheel is lifted."

You would be COMPLETELY correct...... IF we had a Diff....... we DON'T!

Lifting the inside wheel does NOT promote more 'traction slip' until the tyre is compromised by being presented on it's very OUTSIDE edge.

Accelerative grip (Traction) is controlled by the pressure downwards (downforce) onto the track from the tyre (plus many other things, of course). The total downforce of the rear of the kart remains the SAME if it's on 1 or 2 tyres, it just (roughly) DOUBLES onto the outside tyre if the inner one has lifted.

Secondly, the 'inner' tyre is ALWAYS failing to grip, fully, when the kart is cornering no matter whether it's off the gound or NOT! Basically, if the kart is turning a corner (not sliding through it), then the OUTISDE tyre remains in 'full grip' whereas the inside tyre MUST be 'slipping'! Think about the differences between the inside lane of a running track and the outsude lane. The 'inside' is shorter. With a vehicle with a Diff, there is no problem, the inner wheel CAN rotate more slowly. However, with our solid axle.... it CANNOT! The most common occurence is that they inner wheel is slightly 'unloaded' with downforce and 'slips' (effectively) BACKWARDS compared to the direction of travel of the vehicle....

The centripetal force making the kart 'lean over' would be enough to induce this uneven downforce, even if we didn't use VERY steep camber angles. The tyre does NOT need to be 'in the air to do this!

This is a huge subject and SO full on mis-understandings that I think I've got to write a full 'discussion doc.' on this one..... However, if you think it through for yourself, you'll see that the concept of 'release' as being promoted by half the karting world.... is nothing short of complete B*LL*CKS!
