This is the clincher....

You already KNOW that more grip is quicker:-

"I will also say I think tyres with less grip are more fun although obviously not as quick. "

Honestly.... you are quoting that old-wives'-tale about 'too much grip'! I am NOT blaming you.... you hear it EVERYWHERE but it#'s still UTTER TRIPE!

Those of us who saw 'qualifiers' that lasted 1.5 laps of Rye House at international meetings will know QUITE how much more grip a kart CAN deliver! The effect on lap times was HYSTERICAL. Two-wheeling all the way to 'rolling over' was a danger when the grip was SO high!

They didn't run THOSE to have a SLOWER lap-time!
