Matt..... you are kidding, aren't you?

The ONLY reason F1 cars DON'T run 'full wing' at all tracks is NOT to do with 'grip'. It's to do with the trade-off between high-grip-in-braking-and-corners and straight-line-speed being limited by 'drag': in this case 'aerodynamic drag'.

However, super-grippy tyres have only a FRACTIONALLY increased drag in a straight line. For precision, the aero-dynamic drag increase with the square of the speed.

Given the choice, every F1 car would run the MOST grippy tyre they could obtain..... so long as the 'wear rate' didn't mean more frequent tyre changes!

Again, ask yourself the question I posed previuously.... would YOU object to a cpmpetitor running grippier tyres if you were on a ProKart..... I can tell you.... the 'quick-boys' WOULD! If not, why not allow a FREE choice of tyres for ProKarts.

You CANNOT have too muchy grip! It's an old-wives'-tale! And it's TRIPE!

Be honest.... you already KNOW this... even if you have heard the contrary said by LOADES of people!

Oh.... and wet (melting) tarmac has POOR grip in comparison to good tyres on good tarmac.....

If you tell me you#d be DELIGHTED to race against karts with stickier tyres, then I'll continue this.... if not.... then you really DO know that the concept of 'too much' grip is simply WRONG!
