and you said the flags were waved correctly

yes from the drivers eye point of view its not directly in your line of site as you come off the pit straight but im pretty sure you can see that station and certainly as you are half way around. a waved flag is always more apparent than a stationary one, so surely better to have it going like bananas to warn the back-marker.

the 10-20m is new to me. surely better to base it on closing speed if only for awareness. too hard for me to pick out if there was a stationary blue at the hairpin.
