I am running an 010b Gillard. Just started this year and have not as yet taken the brake system apart. I do notice that I have a lot of wear at the upper end and nearly touching at the lower.

I don't like to turn them over as I think that will give a different feel because the pads have worn that way for a reason (being dragged through by the disk). My plan was to machine them flat again then take out the shims until the gaps are back to about a mil or two.

Am I wrong?
