James, you really need to think before you start typing.

Yes you can take a tighter line but why would you?

We are talking here in the context of 'You can't have too much Grip' and my contention is that you CAN have too much grip in the circumstance of a poorly set-up kart dropping a wheel mid corner and then at the point of it's consequential de-acceleration display a maximum G figure that is detrimental to a fast laptime.

In terms of the classic G circle a kart will never reach its maximum potential in a corner as it is on 3 wheels.
