So what about tyre graining?

Loads of advice from everyone and thank you. As David says though, what about when you're as low as you can go on the seat (we are), lead as low as it can go (it is) and we're as wide as we can (we are at the back at least albeit by 5mm)

Is there anything I can learn from the front tyres? They grained quite heavily at the front only and on the inside 1/3rd of the tyre.

In the meantime I'll send my lad down the gym. He's tall but a skinny runt and needs the exercise!
