The Transx160 is very tolerant in its charging requirements.

Any 12v charger with the correct polarity will do.

Have a look at the various adaptor arounfd the house, you usually find one that will do it.

The old one is probably repairable as there's nothing but a transformer, capacitor and a couple of diodes in them, the're not sophisticated like the Rotax battery charger.

Usual fault is you drop it and it cracks a print field near a 'free component live the transformer.

Either that or the plug end breaks just where it enters the strain relief.

Something off the shelf in Maplin would do.
