With Comers you definately need to get the carb set right to get the best performance. And it is frustrating when you don't get it right and lose time/positions.

But with Honda if you aren't going quick enough what can you do (if it's not the driver at fault). I have seen us improve our lap time by over a second by getting the Comer setup right.

Is this the case with a Honda? If it isn't quick what can you do to get more out of it? Not a lot I suspect!

Personally if it was a choice of spending 2 x Ł2000 on selected Honda's I think it would be a better bet to just to buy two of the latest spec Comers for a around Ł900. Many of the stars drivers use these latest motors and they perform well. Don't believe everything you hear!

As for the Ł5k to Ł10k Comer engines unfortunately these do exist and people are prepared to buy them to get an extra 1 or 2 tenths. But I can't believe these type of engine s don't exist in Honda too.

We have two out of the box Comers and we thoroughly enjoy the challenge of Comer racing. The standard of driving is very good and when we get a result at least it's worth something.
