Sounds like a lack of fuel....

Carb/engine empty at top end....lift off...fuel back in....foot back on....fuel used...into corner with all fuel used again....foot in....no fuel until the system catches up ?

We raced Senior in December at K98 clip1, 162 jet, 3mm float heights, 30/30 @ 12.5 carb and 12-74 gearing !
