No... It's specifically banned. However, you can pre-start the motor, stop it again and then push start as normal. At least that warms the motor into starting easily.

Easy start wheels are fine but they are not as easy to use (in many ways) as the other type device which was effectively lijke a roller skate and 1ft high 'stilts'. They have a cup-shape which fits under the rear bumper. You put the kart on the 'skate', sit your kid in the kart. Push the kart to rolling speed and then effectively 'flick' the kart off the skate. You then hold the skate in the air while you push him or chuck it into the sidfe of the pits as soon as the kart if off the sake to let you use both hand for pushing. All the weight lifting is removed.
