True, but I still can't think of any other form of 4 wheeled motorsport with the exception of scalextric where someone on a budget can own a racing machine for a sensible cost and pretend they are a "proper" racing driver. Even banger racing requires a car transporter and you can buy a kart for the same money as you could a scrap car and have some fun. If people don't participate in motorsport at grassroots levels the top levels will suffer as well.
