We can all say how it should be and come up with great new class structures etc, but karters throughout the country have invested in the classes we have today. Forcing them to go out and purchase new kit is not going to save anybody money. My perfect class structure would be:

Club Level:
60cc Cadet - Fixed Jet carb
100cc Junior - Restricted Piston Port Engine, Adjustable Carb
100cc Senior - Piston Port Engine, Adjustable Carb

All would be unsealed, tunable to fiche. Carbs would be tunable to fiche also.

National Level:

Cadet same as above
Junior Same as above
Junior International - Per CIK
Senior Same as above
Senior International - Per CIK

Of course, nobody will dump their existing kit and come and race in my classes so it's irrelevant. In fact, people clearly like the 125cc TaG type racing, despite my thinking them fools for doing so.

Regarding the ARKS test, the most litigious society on this planet, the USA, does without a test and licenses. If we had longer morning practice sessions then every novices practice is the "ARKS test" and the clerks can decide whether to send them home or not. They'll also be tested in a "race" environment rather than running round on their own as is perfectly possible currently.
