Hold on guys.... the big advantage of a compressor with some sort of 'tank' (which the cigarrette lighter type do not have) is that you can use it to 'blow' things clean.... e.g., your carbs, your plugs, fuel lines, etc..

At least 50% of my use of my compressor is for exactly that! After my hammer, my compressor is my favourite tool!
