That's a shame.
It seems to be a trend that is becoming rather prevalent around the grid and pits.
I know that for years you have expected to leave expensive kit around and it would still be there when you came back or at the very least someone would endevour to reunite you with your kit.
Times appear to have changed and an expensive digital gauge is considered fair game for lifting.
I think you should now lock your trailers and caravans when you're not present and zip up your awnings when away and lock tool boxes.
Shackle up gennies and compressors too.
If you see undesirable or suspicious people around the pits, don't be afraid to challenge them and report it to race control so that an anouncement can be made to put people on their guard.
Crime opportunities change and criminals change with it.
Don't advertise what's in your trailer.
Always put a good wheel clamp on and if possible a tow hitch lock.
Put extra locks on the garage and an alarm if you can.
Make it as difficult as you can to be parted with your kit and they will move on.
You can get into most garages within a minute and most trailers or caravans in the same time, thanks Alfie Green, best peterman I ever met.
