It is with deep sadness that I have to report the death of Joseph Stanley Owen, know popularly as Stan Owen.

Stan passed away last night at the generous age of 96.

Stan had an undiagnosed broken a hip and succumbed to pneumonia in hospital.

Stan was the designer of the Mamba chassis and a renowned engine tuner and rebuilder.

I'm sure our thoughts go out to Stan's family and he will be warmly remembered by the old karters.
