Yes moral of the story is don't arrive after about 7:30pm at a Travelodge as you risk this. Also, Travelodges in a 20 mile radius of an airport often take coachloads of people whose flights have been cancelled and even if you call ahead and say you're definitely arriving, if the coach gets there before you, you won't get a room.
