Never understood, the can't have too much grip argument. May be true with bigger engines and for the front end, but with anything making less than 20 HP, keeping the rear from gripping down is one of the most important aspects of set up when conditions warrant it. It's why Cadets need to clean tyres because the kart has too much grip and doesn't move around enough to roll off the accumalated rubber.
