Well there you go: there are lots of different preferences and the market should be varied to serve them. And that is exactly why the advice all along has been to try everything before you buy. Simple.
However, even though you think gearbox karts are “proper karts” and the Aixro is just “some 4/” I know exactly what the preference after back-to-back tests will be nine times out of ten. I went for the Aixro having loved gearbox karts as well. For a year or so I had both, but in the end it was a no-brainer and the gbox had to go. If that makes me a Muppet, fine.

To 2975 (can we nick-name you PIN?):
“The sales pitch should be even playing field, cost effective, very powerful a revolution in karting.” Exactly that is the pitch! The speed is not unprecedented by any means and is not the Aixro’s USP. I’ve said that many times.

And that’s the other thing: We Aixro owners are a “club” not just for racing, but have organised get-togethers for practice/testing as well. So again, if anyone wants to come along to “have a go” – give Richard a bell.
This is also another reason why I just don’t get these repeated suggestions that we should castrate our karts and engines to fall into line with one particular (regional) race series like F6.
