Get yourself a Tillet 'Rib Cage' and fit the little winglets to the seat. It will hold you firmly in place in the seat a little like a seat belt. Having broken my ribs twice (!) I've not had a problem since fitting this irrespective of what rib protector I use. The number one cause of cracked/broken ribs is movement around in, and particularly coming out, of the seat.
