It would imply that the kart is already turning left in the straightahead position, a bit like an Indycar. I'm assuming that if he's driving on the straight, the kart wants to turn left ? If there's half a steering turn in it, it will be something quite dramatic and obvious. A couple more to check :

o With the steering wheel in the straight ahead position, is the distance between the front stub axle and the point where a straight edge meets the rear axle at 90 degrees on the left the same as on the right ?

o Is the ride height on the left the same as on the right ?
