Steve, if you can find a nine year old cadet chassis where everything points in the right direction, you'll be lucky.

Without the homologation rules, chassis development and subsequent costs would be uncontrollable and the three homologation period allows for a reasonable second hand market without decrepit stuff being sold as good gear.

In essence, perhaps this means that the old Zip CD06 is no longer homologated (just off the top of my head, don't have the papers to hand), but the Blade and Storm are still valid. Some variation perhaps, but you get my drift.
