Well, you can't argue with your lap times as you have to use something to measure kart & driver against. Subjectively, it's nice to have a kart feeling "right" and the chances are that if it feels good to drive then it will automatically produce consistently lap times. Looking back through my notes I see that whenever I've had problems of poor lap times it's invariably been through running SL6/7/8's for too long and not appreciating that they may well have been past their best a long time before I'd considered the wear dimples to be running down.

SL6's & SL8's may be excellent when brand new but on more than one occasion I have seen what look like barely used ones alongside the rubbish bins at the circuit.

So, what conclusions have you drawn since you started off the topic?
