This subject is just so big. Suggest you get a book on the subject. There is an American book that covers tyre/Chassis dynamics quite well. Kart Chassis set technology, and it's advertised on the karting magazine web site (It's my kart bible). Ignore the American dirt track stuff.

As you are starting now, a reasonable start point for this time of year (15 to 20 degs)could be 22 dry and 25 wet.

Be ready to go down if the sun comes out.
