A dyno reading can only be compared to a dyno reading on the same dyno. Best used in comparing various assemblages of engine components and for a comparison of where the BHP and Torque are produced.
Our engine builder came up with a figure of 27.45 peak BHP for a new but run in motor and it did struggle to hold it's own. Our builder also only ever uses the same carb for testing as it is a known entity. His software monitors the atmospheric pressure, temp and humidity in the purpose built cell.
