Most kart traders sell the kits, but not all just sell the adapter on its own. Like Danlee says buy a bunch of them you will probably lose a few.

The advantage is not getting the valve ripped out when somebody slides their rear bumper inside your front rims. A fairly rare occurrence but it does happen. If you forget and leave them in chances are the tyre is going to deflate anyway, 'Catch 22'
