Hi Alan ,

1.Positive was facing downwards , so replaced same way .
2.Transponder was dead , randon lights when placed in charger , but never charged or when green .
3.Use a dremmel type drill , dont think i encroached on the pcb .
4.Bought a 2900 mah rechargeable battery on ebay , dont understand flash , but charged it .
5. The old one appeared to be a single aa type cell , which is what i replaced it with .

Have i done it correctly . thanks
