If the Mag wheel rims on their own make 2kg difference..... I suspect that your OTHER rims are NOT made of Alluminium Alloy..... but Gold, Lead or Uranium! Either that or you have the first 16 wheeled kart in the business.....

Why not simply take both sets to your bathroom scales and weigh them.........? Do remember, if there IS a huge difference, to look at the wet tyres and the dry TYRES..... I suspect much of the difference will be in those.
