As an ex karting mom & dad we still like to go to watch karting as much as poss, not enough unfortunately but finally made it to Dunkeswell last weekend and despite (typical Dunks) weather really enjoyed a cracking days racing. Grids not the same numbers they were some years ago when we did it but good to see pleny of cadets which I suppose is a good sign for the future. The air ambulance was called out to take a lad away in one of the junior races, anyone with news on him? Thanks to all at DKRC, it was good to feel the atmosphere again which we have really missed. (I see there is still the 1 hour 'church break' which would be fair enough if it wasn't for the nonsense of the planes from adjoining aero club still zooming about the skies, I can't believe they are not a nuisance when a kart down at ground level is.) Ah well!! Another point, still only 3 quid to get in, it's been that for years but despite this the lady on the gate said they still have people complaining about the price! where else can you get a whole days great entertainment of any sort for 3 quid. Good karting to all. Bill Dawes.
