what is it that causes you to either put in a quick time at the start or at the end og the race ...

i know this sounds a silly question but for the last few weeks we have been putting in our best time towards the end of the raced but this weekend it all went pear shape we were of the pace and putting in our best lap really early on ...

any views on this
