I was going to offer to do it for you if your at Rye next meeting.

I do not use the matting.

I only ever use the open weave cloth or the close woven tape for small cracks.

The matting repairs always look amateurish and naff, especially if the hardener is red in colour.

Then it looks like your piles have let you down.

Woven cloth and tape with a clear resin almost makes the repair look like part of the seat.

If you do proceed to use the horrible matting, make sure you first thoroughly clean the whole area with thinners or brake cleaner.

Then thoroughly roughen an area larger than you are going to apply the matting to, then clean again.

Make sure you 'wet' the matting right through and try and avoid the horrible runs that the Halfords resins create.

after it has dried, sand off any strands of the matting that are sticking out of the mess, as one strand in your pinkie takes an age to find.

Matting UGH!!!!!!!!!!

When you get in your seat, put your foot on the bolt that holds the front on the seat to the chassis, then there is no danger of doing the comical 'foot throught the floor' trick.
