Had various rib problems ,and one thing is for sure once you have cracked them once they are weaker.

Look at seat size , wear your protector snug but not tight .

And if you have a cracked rib your looking at 3 to 4 months to heal properly .

Rib protector or not if you drive with it cracked it will be agony ,and it will make it worse.

if its a muscular injury then 4 to 6 weeks .


Do plenty of work on your Lats in the gym ,and also ab work and core strength .

Fitness wise you should be looking at doing a reasonable amount of cardio work , and make sure any weights work you do is lower weights higher reps ,as to not build to much muscle mass but works the muscles for endurance .
