Lastly, there are an awful lot of people who just don't support their clubs, they see karting as something that they do at a weekend that magically happens. They need to get involved

I have to agree I am guilty of this,I race at Rissington, which is my closest track and we race every meeting and though I would like to get involved in some way, from either grass cutting, track/pit maintanance or anything like that it's just so far away, its nearly 2 hours for me to travel there. I work during the week and every other week-end so it's not possible, but I do agree with the comment.
