Be honest with yourself.....

Try thinking about a 'special case'...

You arrive at the 20p kiddies-karts.... to find that either:-

1) All your old 'race mates' (James, Luke Caudle, Ryan Cole, Terry Fullerton, Mickey Allen, Alan Gates) have hired an kiddie-kart and there's one available for YOU!

.....or....

2) You find that Lewis, Fernando, Derek Bell, Jackie Ickx, Jackie Stewart, Emerson Fittipaldi, Keke Rosberg, etc., etc., have hired the other karts and there's one available to YOU!

..... now tell me, HONESTLY, that you wouldn't JUMP at the chance of racing THEM...... even if they were only PEDAL KARTS.... or bikes, or roller skate.... or even SCALEXTRIC!

My point.....? It's that, for R*E*A*L RACERS, it's the RACING that's the pleasure. Racing BETTER vehicle is clearly even better. By choice, we'd all race the above people in F1 cars in preference to kiddie-karts BUT.... knowing YOU (and me, and 99% of other KARTERS) you and I would be on those kiddie-karts in SECONDS! Test your Dad on that question, too! You two are BOTH 'real racers'.

It's the RACING and not the VEHICLE which drives us!

Damn it, I'd even race 2CVs, given the chance!
