Not sure if this is an oversight by clubs or an issue with google earth, but how accurate are track lengths?

For example, Glan y Gors advertise their circuit as 1100m, however, measuring it with the Ruler tool on Google Earth, it only comes up at 973.86 meters.

Ellough Park advertise theirs as 1050 meters, 832.20m on Google Earth.

Rye House 950m, actually 723.27m.

Any thoughts??
