Given that the weight of a kart is only 80 kgs, just make yourself a little crane from 2 by 4's and a pulley.

I was loading a friend's powerchair into the back of their car recently and they have a very tidy crane for the job made out of 17 mm tubing.

It only needs to lift the kart to trolley height and you could clip a steel one to the trolley to take to the grid as well.
