as Dave above says -you need to apply for a Novice National B licence with the MSA and do not need to do an ARKS test - also if you are under 16 your first MSA licence is free . You can then use a licence upgrade card to get signatures at MSA and NatSKA meetings ( you need 6 signatures, from the MSA stewards, in total from 3 different circuits and only a maximum of 3 signatures can be from NatSKA meetings ) to upgade to a full National B licence.. Once you have all your signatures you can pay for the upgrade as soon as you get all the signatures or just send everything in at the next yearly renewal- other wise you will end up paying for a licence hal way through a year and then again at the beginning of the next year .if you have all 6 signatures on your upgrade card and race at an MSA meeting you will be considered to have a full National B even if you haven't sent in the upgrade request at that point . If you do enough meetings to collect 12 signatures on your novice B licence upgrade card you could upgrade directly to a National A licence - but you cannot collect signatures at NatSKA meetings for a National A licence - the sigantures have to be from MSA meetings and again must be from at least 3 different circuits . National A licences are required for anyone wanting to a participate in championships like Formula Kart Stars or Super 1
