Ive tested the pick up with a magnet, it works fine off the kart but cant get it to pick up anything when on the floor pan, it seems like whatever is inside the pick up is able to react to a stong magnetic force but when the floor is between the magnet and the pick up.....NOTHING!!
could the metal floor tray be too thick??
