If fairness to S1 they have come in with a very good price for the camera as the normal UK price is about £300 without the SD card. The S1 price is comparable with the best USA prices although no doubt there is still a small profit margin for them.
We often get threads on this forum complaining about the number of incidents that do not get seen by the officials and if these cameras help to reduce these then they are worth trying. Even some of the anti-camera posts have said things like "if it is on the nassar panel then it won't last long" which seems to suggest that people accept poor driving standards.
I don't know about other classes but S1 and FKS does seem to bring out the worst in some drivers and there are a few who will deliberately take out a driver if they are not `known'.
My main criticism of S1 would be their poor commun ication over the cameras. From the order forms it looks as if the TKM/Honda cadets will not be using them or be able to buy at the lowish price. Their statement indicated that £40 of the entry fee was to cover TV coverage but the rest was for additional staff, including staff to vuiew the video footage. It looks as if the TKM classes will be paying for this even though it will not be available to them.
