I dont think anyone is disputing what a good class this is, or can be. However with respect gents you are seniors and have not expeienced the problems that the juniors have as your restrictors have not been affected only by the 3 year cycle change. But for juniors Moving down a restrictor and adding 2 kilos effectively added 12 kilos to the existing weight format (in order to slow them down imposed by the MSA)
The result of the power to weight ratios does not work out directly proportional. Before the change you did not hear anyone in the junior class complaining because it was perfectly well balanced. (This is when they used the same restrictor ratios as seniors) Since then it has had a detremental effect on two restrictors, which have since has some amendments. One correctly (green) and the other (silver restrictor) which still requires some modification to bring it back in line with the rest. In addition the red restrictor now which has benefit over the others. Drivers in the north and Scottish drivers all finding the same. This has been shown in the results North and Scotland. For example at the last meeting at wigan with both North and scottish drivers in attendance, the two red restrictor drivers were 4 tenths lap quicker than the rest of the field. Its not just at wigan circuit either although not quite as advantageous at other tracks. I belive Ron shone is looking to do something about it but it may be too late by then as club Championships may have already started. Although some drivers have already moved on because of this, I hope others will stick it out whilst it does get sorted.
