I presume it is the standard "catch all rule" - If it does not say you can do it, you can't.

Don't do rotax so not sure of the filter they use, however I have seen effect of accidental oil on both honda (paper) and TKM (foam)filters. In both cases it strangles the engine which simply can't breathe anywhere near as well as an "unoiled" one.
