ian its not my place to inform people why the WLKC ceased to operated at WL, least of all you, lets just say a difference of opinion for the sake of it.
As for your earlier post, maybe i picked it up wrong, but why even bother to mention the fact the DYKC consists of the old committee? unless to offer a possible reason for it to fail? there were new members on that committee that had put alot of time and as i understand it their own money and had more than the drive to get it to work. you could have just said that it has been tried in the past and didnt workout?
Wardenlaw is by nodout an excellent track, which we still practice at from time to time, but if you want me to be honest and give my view as an old customer, it is let down only by the interpritation of rules and bending of them to suit or the lack of enforcing them. ie weights, running of wtp b5 in the class, the prevention of close racing and pushing which goes on at all tracks and is a vital part of developing as a driver and other things, the list goes on.which is why we ceased to race at WL. For others it is ideal and a great place to learn karting and get time in the seat and would recomend it to newcomers, i just wasnt sure that what we were racing against was above board, but not to worry no dout after this thread we wont be welcome anyway.

criticism is a part of life, more so in the karting world and on this board. not in any of my posts have i said anything about bob and tracey pope,
we raced there all last year and supported the club and the track, for nothing in my opinion, i personally invested money in to the track and club by this, so i think i am entiled to my view.
what is done is done, it will nodout comeout in time why it didnt workout, i just dont think that the reasons given are truthful in my opinion.
i have an email as did all members stating that the club was not to run next year and attached was the origional email to the committee from teesside, which was worded in such a way to suggest that the track wanted to be in control of the racing at teesside and will run sprint racing themself on the 3rd sunday of the month, so corporate karting is obviously not a concern for that sunday from a takings aspect and obviously think they can do a better job and cut out the middleman, maybe they can? but why not just say that. why even bother to start the dykc in the first place other than to test the viability of sprint racing at the track?
at the end of the day its none of my buisness and wish them success in what ever they choose to do, its a great track and could have put the northeast on the map as far as karting is concerned. unfortunaltey it just wont be for right for us now.

but thats just my view.
