well Marc - Your support of Will Tew is commendable as your mate- but you obviously have no notion of what NatSKA is about- it is outrageous to suggest that the only entry point for kids with little financial privelege to try karting is BSKC- that's exactly what NatSKA does - and in a proper race series not just corporate karts . I think I might also take on Traxtars assertion as the most sucessful driver at NatSKA-only joking Traxtar !! we started at Natska in a school karts - it would never have crossed our minds to try karting if our school did not have a team and allow our eldest to give it a go for next to nothing . 6 years on and through NatSKA recognising his ability and giving him a scholarship to Super 1 he now has a British Championship seeded number and is the club champion at GYG in his class. His younger brother is closely following his footsteps with numerous meeting wins in all 4 different kart classes he has been able to compete in at NatSKA. NatSKA is not an arrive and drive approach but the kids and families are completely involved in all aspects of the meeting from the organisisng, scrutineering , mechanics, kart set up , marshalling - everyjting that goes on at a kart meeting - a far cry from what BSKC offers- turn up and drive - not a true relection of karting in my view
The MSA is supportive of NatSKA in many ways but it is very disingenuous of BSKC to suggest that they are the only vehicle for kids of school age to access entry level karting or that they are the only organisation with MSA support. There is room for both in the karting world.
