Relaxing and enjoying what you're doing is 99% of the battle. You learn more when you're relaxed than you would realise.

I was always around a quarter of a second a lap faster on practice days than I ever was in a race. I just chilled out and went for it!! For some reason I could never quite loosen up enough to achieve those times in a race. Your kid will be learning alot, and will be figuring out lines etc far quicker in this relaxed atmosphere
