It depends what gear you get with them.

The basic gear does speed, times, splits, accelerometer map, and produces reports that compare datum laps with other laps, histograms of the time you spend in any rev range and so on.

The full kit allows you to measure CHT, EGT, thottle and brakes movement and steering inputs.

Using it can help select gear ratios, improve line into and out of corners, find engine and ignition faults and detect how much slip you are putting on the kart.
