Hi there, i also just started racing at clay this year, i have missed a few meetings since september due to sore ribs... (buy a rib protector when u start, i am getting one this week)

If you want an idea what i spent at karting this year see my website
GTturismo.co.uk and go to the Kart info page, all my expense is on there...

luckily due to the very freindly ppl at clay i have been able to stay inside my Ł100 monthly race budget but only just...

Others will tell you that if u want to be at the front of the grid then u will have to spend more...
